A 'Possibly Failed' payment occurs when we cannot confirm if the payment failed or was successful. For payments where a payment status (learn more about payment statuses here) is not provided, we use your bank statement feed to check if the funds have left the account. If after this method, we’re not able to match the payment with a transaction after two and half hours (for immediate Faster Payments), the statement is marked as Possibly failed.

We have added a 'Take action' (as shown above) feature that allows you to mark the payment as "I found this transaction. We will mark it as paid" or "I cannot find this transaction. By selecting this you can optionally try this payment again" (as shown below). With the help from yourselves we'll be able to improve the system regarding payment statuses.
