How to future date payments:

Comma allows you to schedule payments so that funds are automatically released from the bank account on the date you choose. This is a great way to stay on top of your payments rather than waking up super early to squeeze them in on payday morning!

With scheduled payments, they will hit the payee account on your chosen date. We even automatically identify HMRC payments and move these into a separate group, allowing you to select an alternative payment date in relation to payroll.

  1. Click “Pay”

  2. Select the payment date for the group you are authorising

  3. Initiate the payment in the bank account

  4. Your payments are now queued in the bank for the date you have chosen!

What are the limits when scheduling a payment?

The limits around scheduling do vary per bank. Generally, payments are made via Faster Payments. This means you can make payments the same day or schedule a payment anywhere from 1 day (i.e. tomorrow) to at least 30 days in the future.

You can find out more about your bank limitations here.
